About Us

We're in business to make the world a better place for us, and future generations to come.

Fair wages, recycled goods, women's empowerment - these are just some of the topics that we're deeply passionate about here at Commonplace. We're striving to create a world where the standards that we hold our partners accountable for becomes commonplace in the industry.

Our goal as a social goods marketplace is to promote varying products tied to a social cause, making it easy for folks to incorporate social good efforts into everyday products that are being used.

With the world becoming increasingly interconnected, it's our responsibility to rethink issues ranging from sustainability to global poverty. By supporting conscious companies, we're hoping to accelerate the social good movement and take us towards accomplishing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our vision is to create a world that is sustainable and empowering - a world where companies are conscious of their production efforts, treatment of workers, and materials used.

We love our partners and the world that they're creating. In order to ensure that we're stepping into a better world collectively, we hold our partners accountable for one of the three standards

All of our partners are deeply passionate about the cause they're rooting for. It's through the goods sold that they're able to provide funds to the cause, and assist in tackling the problem head-on. Our partners in the philanthropic space are creating change in areas focused on human trafficking, women's employment, climate change, and more.

Artisan Made

We're an organization driven by culture, but how do we preserve culture in an age driven by commercialism and voices of large corporations? By partnering up with brands focused on traditional crafts and ingenious methods, we aim to preserve cultures and communities.

10 Fair Trade Principles

Imagine a world that is more equitable, a world that treats every single human being with dignity and opportunity. By working with fair-trade partners, we hope to combat economic disparities. We ensure that partners are actively cultivating safe working environments, career training, and/or fair wages.
